NUNO ALEXANDRE

The “slap” style consists into slamming the strings on the neck of the double bass. The Portuguese Nuno Alexandre wonderfully uses this process which is as hard as spectacular and comes from New Orleans. Born in 1972, Nuno started to play the instrument at Eighteen years old, and immediately seduces the audience with this “slap” style, which will become his trademark. After a period of improvement in the United States, he became the accompanist of the Swiss pianist Silvan Zingg, present at our festival.
