DENISE KING AND HER ORCHESTRA

Born in Philadelphia, Denise King will be the blues vocal ambassador of our festival, the music that she discovered when she was twelve years old thanks to an uncle collecting records. Today, influenced by the rhythm’ n’ blues and the gospel, but also by Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, Denise King sings the blues under all kinds of variations with an extraordinary conviction and swing. She will be accompanied by Philippe Baudoin (piano), Nicolas Peslier (guitar), Pierre Maingourd (double bass), Sylvain Glevarec (battery).
